Tâlam is the new concept of Dondieu Divin (ex keyboard of Touré Kunda, Manu Dibango, Mory Kanté and Brigitte Fontaine).Born in 1968 in Avignon (France), with Indian origins. Classical violon's studies at the conservatory from 7 years old (Price of conservatoire d'Avignon). Meanwhile he followed classical piano's studies.
With the age of 19 years old, he was interested in jazz and as well as various music passing trough funk to African music.
In 1993, he toured with Toure Kunda, arranged and co writed their album "Mouslai". He also recorded with the Camerounese drummer Brice Wassy (drummer of Manu Dibango, Salif Keita, Jean-Luc Ponty...) and his band Tchokolat in Real World studio.
Between 1995 and 1998, Dondieu composed for contemporary and Indian dance performances. During this period he worked and recorded with Human Spirit, Annik Tangorra, Boy Ge Mendes, Womack & Womack, Constance (Coco) M'Bassi, the American trumpet player Graham Haynes, Ismael Isaac...
In 1998, he founded Divine Funk band with musicians from Raoul Petite band and played with various artists such as Kunta Kinte, Black and White, Nam, Francis Yaounde...
In 1999, he played with the saxophonist Julien Loureau and recorded the album 'Gambit' during the African tour. In 2000 and 2001, he performed with Manu Dibango and Mory Kante. He recorded the album "Salt rain" with the Indian singer Susheela Raman.

Between 2002 and 2004, he performed with the French singer Brigitte Fontaine, recorded, co arranged a couple of track on the album "Rue saint Louis en Ile". He also played with the Indian Dance ensemble of Ragunath Manet.
In 2004, he finally recorded album "Gandhi Road" with his band "TALAM" in which feature the flute player Malik Mezzadri (Magic Malik) , Linlay Marthe (bass player of Joe Zawinul), the drummer Tony Allen, the Cameroun singer Constance (Coco) M'Bassi...
Dondieu introduces us to Indian music through this release with modern sonorities. A savant mix between Indian traditional music and contemporary music.
