Soul Stereo Crew :

Soul Stereo is one of the most famous and respected European sound systems. It was founded in 1998 in France by 3 selectors and MCs: Rico, Fatta & Tarzan.

They play mainly Jamaican Music: Ska, Rocksteady, Soul, Reggae Roots, Rub a Dub, Dancehall and all the last releases coming from Jamaica. Soul Stereo goes to JA several times a year to meet musicians, singers, producers, DJ's.

A huge Selection of Vinyls & Dub Plates :

During these journeys, Soul Stereo is increasing its Vinyl's Collection. Nowadays, after have worked in a disc shop specialized in Jamaican records, Soul Stereo has more than 15 000 vinyls from the 60s to now. They also record Dub Plates (Acetate Disc used by Sound Systems to record artists' tracks). Soul Stereo has more than 400 Dub Plates with artists such as:

Barrington Levy, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Sean Paul, Sizzla, Shabba Ranks and as well as Alton Ellis, Ken Boothe, The Heptones, Junior Murvin, Toots and the Maytals... With all these tunes, Soul Stereo can select for hours and entertain different kinds of public and places.

In 2005, they decided to work with Vibes So Nice and created SoulVibz Records to produce new 7inch releases featuring Jamaican singers such as Luciano, Anthony B, Capleton...

Sound System inna Roots Jamaican Tradition :

Soul Stereo gives live performances inna pure Jamaican sound system style 10 times a year with artists such as:

Lone Ranger (from the mythic label Studio One), U Brown (from U Roy Sound System 'Sturgav'), King Kong (King Tubby's, King Jammy's), Reggie Stepper (Jammy's), Echo Minott (Jammy's), John Wayne (Bunny Lee, Jammy's...), Rod Taylor, Earl 16 etc...

All these artists are reggae legends and got hits number one in Jamaican charts and all over the world.

Soul Stereo is present in Major Reggae Events :

Known as the best & most respected French sound system with its live reputation, Soul Stereo makes a hundred of concerts per year around Europe (France, UK, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Sweden) and abroad (Israel) and takes part in the biggest European reggae festivals:

- Summer Jam ( Germany ) 2002

- Reggae Geel ( Belgium ) 2003

- Rototom Sunsplash ( Italy ) 2003 in which Soul Stereo won the 7inch Vinyl Clash

Soul Stereo, for all the reasons above, makes the First Part of International Reggae artists in France and Europe:

The Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry, Buju Banton, Black Uhuru, U Roy, Gentleman. After have made thousands of people dance in Europe, Soul Stereo would like to introduce to other nationalities its performance and Jamaican music and set fire on the dancefloor.
